Job Description

The Rooms Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's rooms division. This includes managing the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance departments to ensure that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Responsibilities

• Manage the front desk staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Ensure that all guest rooms are clean and well-maintained
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address any guest complaints or issues
• Monitor room availability and make sure that all reservations are properly managed
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve guest satisfaction and streamline operations
• Work with other hotel departments, such as food and beverage and sales, to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Manage the budget for the rooms division and ensure that expenses are kept within budget
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that the hotel remains competitive

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in hotel management, with a focus on rooms division
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
