Chef Job Description

Location: Origin Kansas City, 151 Berkley Plaza, Kansas City, MO, 64120

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Origin Kansas City. The Chef will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, managing the kitchen staff, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
• Create menus and develop new recipes
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
• Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks as necessary
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
• Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
• Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing training and development for existing staff

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience
