Job Summary

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. The Manager will supervise a team of housekeeping staff, assign tasks, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard. The Manager will also be responsible for managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise housekeeping staff, assign tasks, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard
  • Train new staff members and provide ongoing training and development for existing staff
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a budget
  • Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained
  • Respond to guest complaints and ensure that all issues are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Ensure that all staff members adhere to safety and security procedures
  • Perform regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet the hotel's standards
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that guest needs are met
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
