Job Description Executive Chef

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Origin Atlanta. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, creating recipe cards, holding staff accountable, scheduling, ordering, inventory, building culture, helping to develop the menu, and creating seasonal menu items.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage kitchen staff and ensure that all team members are performing their duties effectively and efficiently
• Create recipe cards for all menu items and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
• Hold staff accountable for their performance and provide regular feedback to help them improve
• Schedule kitchen staff to ensure that all shifts are covered and that the kitchen is always fully staffed
• Order all necessary ingredients and supplies to ensure that the kitchen is always fully stocked
• Manage inventory and ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality
• Build a positive and supportive culture within the kitchen
• Help to develop the menu and create new dishes that are both delicious and visually appealing
• Create seasonal menu items that take advantage of the freshest ingredients available

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients
• Ability to create new and innovative dishes
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
