Origin Hotel Summer 2025 Internship

Origin Hotel is a brand-new modern boutique hotel located along the Berkley Riverfront. Its vibrant and local charm stands next to CPKC, home to the Kansas City Current. A part of the hotel is Show Pony, their onsite restaurant. In addition, there is Two Birds, One Stone (Beer Garden) and Moonstone Vinyl Bar. This is an exciting addition to Kansas City and Riverfront as it is the first hotel located next to the river and connected by the streetcar to destinations like Downtown Kansas City, Power & Light, City Market, and Union Station. The Origin Hotel, Moonstone, and Two Birds, One Stone (Beer Garden), and Moonstone Vinyl Bar are operated through Tandem Hospitality. Tandem group prides themselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences and celebrating all that Kansas City has to offer! We are excited for YOU to see what Origin Hotel is all about during our 12-week immersed internship into the Hospitality Industry.

Responsibilities

•Attend meetings to plan future marketing strategies and coordinate events •Creating graphics and content for social platforms •Reports on competitive marketing plans •Assist on event planning •Design promotional details (flyers, posters, menus, etc.) •Assist on partnerships with other businesses and influencers •Hand out marketing materials at different venues throughout the community. •Attend networking events. •Assist and be at events hosted at Hotel Origin, Moonstone, and Two Birds One Stone. •Planning and executing your own event put on at the Hotel and F&B Outlets. •Finding Connections on LinkedIn •Working on Leads •Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion

•Always maintain a professional demeanor. •Willing to learn and be able to perform all tasks that are part of the industry. •Have a can-do attitude to get marketing and sales tasks completed. •Eagerness to learn the industry from a sales and marketing perspective. •Have a strong customer focused attitude. •Be able to speak in regard to product and what the facility has to offer.

Additional Information

May 20th-August 1st (Start dates and End Dates are flexible) Location: Kansas City Missouri (no housing provided) 30-40 Hours a week Paid Internship ($18 hour)
